Forelsket is an editorial project stemmed from the desire to create a multiauthor blog targeted to teenagers and young women, with articles written and curated by peers (women between the ages of 18 and 30). We wanted a format that was appealing to the audience while being meaningful, finding the right balance between light-hearted and more political/philosophical topics.
We focused a lot on information architecture, and studied a category scheme that would ensure quality, diversity and content appeal, alternating more popular topics (tv series, food, travels) with political and sociological topics (like women’s rights). It is crucial to find the right tone of voice and editorial style to make these very different topics co-exist.
Forelsket is co-owned by three authors, who curate the editorial calendar and coordinate the rest of the authors, while running the website and taking care of marketing, PR and technical aspects. Each author has crative freedom over their content, but all our articles go through a quality assurance process in order to deliver accurate, high quality information to our audience.
